Events at Vallecito Elementary School

Vallecito sponsors a wide variety of events over the school year to raise money, encourage student participation, and have fun! Below are a some of the major events on the Vallecito calendar:

Meet the Specialists/Family Pizza Dinner
Spend a few hours getting to know the specialists of PE, Art, K-2 Music, and Drama. See demonstrations of how your CanDo! dollars are spent and take part in activities presented by these talented teachers. Pizza dinner is available to enhance the community spirit.

Friday Recycling - Every Friday morning 
During the week save your plastic bottles and aluminum beverage cans. (Cans MUST be marked CA CRV.) Bring them to the front of the school every Friday morning for a "smash and sort" frenzy! All monies raised support our Scholarship Fund that provides those in need with the ability to attend off-campus events.

Walk n Roll to School - First Wednesday of every month
Held once a month, Walk n Roll to School encourages everyone in the Vallecito community to find alternate ways to get to school to reduce driving -- from car pooling to taking the bus to riding a bike or walking. Click here for more information.

Fall Festival - October 21, 2012
Usually held in October, students enjoy a wide range of fun activities, from costume contests to haunted houses. Click here for more information.

Walk-a-Thon - April 19, 2013
Held in April, the Walk-a-Thon is Vallecito's biggest fundraiser. Students collect pledges from family, friends, and the community, and walk laps around the Vallecito blacktop to raise money for classroom resources, school-sponsored events, clubs, and performances. Click here for more information.

Talent Show - February 9, 2013, 6:30PM
We have an amazing amount of talent at Vallecito -- everything from singing, dancing, telling jokes, playing an instrument, or doing magic tricks!

Field Day - June 11, 2013
An end-of-the-year celebration for Vallecito students and staff! Snacks and pizza lunch provided for everyone.
